Describing Beamzag

In three sentences

Beamzag is a free daily logic puzzle that runs in the browser. You place an exact number of mirrors on a grid so a laser lights every gem and ends in the socket. Every board has exactly one solution, checked by a solver before it goes up.

In one paragraph

Beamzag is a daily laser-and-mirrors puzzle made by Jonathon Wager, an independent game developer in Cambridge, Ontario. A new board appears at midnight in each player's own time zone: a laser on one edge, a socket on another, and a few gems and walls in between. The player gets an exact number of mirrors and has to place them so the beam lights every gem on its way to the socket. Boards grow from a 5×5 with two mirrors on Monday to an 8×8 with six on Saturday, and on Sunday two lasers share one set of mirrors. A solver checks every board before it goes up, so each one has exactly one solution. Beamzag launched on October 13, 2026. It is free, needs no account, and plays on phones and computers.
